Even if banana is not a local fruit, it has become one of the most popular fruit ever. Not only is it difficult to find a home where this food is not consumed regularly, but more often it is placed in different recipes as a “replacement” for eggs for allergy sufferers. However, in its widespread use, this fruit deserves the right representation because not everyone knows of its effective properties.
From a nutritional point of view the consumption of banana is certainly a plus for all of us, especially for the considerable diversification of vitamins. A banana is one of the best fruits with a presence of the precursor of vitamin A, as well as a good variety of B vitamins (B1, B2 and PP, as well as, although to a lesser extent, B6) which can help our nervous system amongst other things. Vitamin C is found in a sufficient amount in the fruit and also traces of vitamin E.
The most significant aspect of the banana, from a nutritional point of view is the addition of some trace elements, whose presence is sufficient in remineralizing foods. In particular it is very rich in potassium, an important nutrient for our body, especially for athletes and for those who suffer from hypertension. Do not underestimate the presence of other micronutrients such as iron (making it an anti-anemic food), calcium, copper and phosphorus.
Tip: to enhance its property it is always better to choose a ripe banana instead of a sour-grapes.
