what we need:
- 250 gr wholemeal flour;
- 4 tablespoon honey;
- 60 ml extra virgin olive oil;
- 70 gr grated apple;
- 1 teaspoon baking powder;
let’knead!
- in a bowl mix honey and apple;
- add baking powder and flour a spoon at a time;
- pour the oil and knead the dough till smooth and no more sticky;
- put the dough on the table and make rolls as thick as a finger and 5 cm long;
- put them on a cookie sheet lined with baking papercover 2 or 3 cm apart from another;
- bake in oven at 200° for about 15 minutes;
Even if these cookies are made with olive oil, you can eat them for breakfast and you can dunk them in a cup of milk or if you prefer in a cup of English Breakfast tea ( http://www.teainitaly.com/italian/english-breakfast.html )
